The recent Broadway Bares Fire Island show held May 30 at Whyte Hall's Brandon Fradd Theater in Fire Island Pines raised a record $55,994 for the organization. The last edition, in 2013, raised $33,044.

The show featured an evening of new numbers directed by Michael Lee Scott, with Bares dancers performing on a runway jutting into the audience, followed by Bares' famous "rotation" where the performers freestyle dance for donations. Also included were "frisky fly boys slipping out of their jumpsuits, studly dads, ravishing showgirls, delectable models in skimpy, skin-tight bathing suits and desirable, desert nomads all exploring male and female sexuality, and Fire Island fun and frolic."

The New York City edition of the annual Broadway Bares fundraiser will be held June 21 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The event "combines the naughtiness of burlesque and the razzle-dazzle of Broadway," featuring 150 of the hottest male and female dancers in New York City. This year's theme will be announced next week.
