Ethan Slater and SpongeBob SquarePants Take Over The View

The Broadway cast of SpongeBob SquarePants took the stage on The View this morning to perform "(Just A) Simple Sponge." The segment also featured an interview with Tony-nominated leading man Ethan Slater conducted by cohost Whoopi Goldberg. Check it out below.

Conceived and directed by Tina Landau, written by Kyle Jarrow, choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, and based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon, SpongeBob SquarePants is described as follows: "Stakes are higher than ever before as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage." It is the recipient of 12 Tony nominations, as well as Outstanding Musical awards from the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle.
