Elena Shaddow to Reprise Golden Age of Broadway Cabaret Show

The Broadway vet of ”The Bridges of Madison County” and ”La Cage aux Folles” pays tribute to composers from the last two decades.

Broadway veteran Elena Shaddow will return to 54 Below on January 3 for a return engagement of her concert Always Better: The New Golden Age of Broadway.

Devised by Shaddow, Robbie Rozelle, and musical director Georgia Stitt, the concert explores the work of musical theater composers of the past 25 years, including Stephen Sondheim, Adam Guettel, Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Schwartz, and more. With Stitt on keys, the concert will also feature a special apperaance from Caitlin Kinnunen (The Bridges of Madison County).

Shaddow's Broadway credits include The Bridges of Madison County, La Cage aux Folles, The Woman in White, Fiddler on the Roof, and Nine, as well as the NBC broadcast of The Sound of Music LIVE! She received a Helen Hayes Best Actress nomination for playing Clara in the first national tour of The Light in the Piazza.

Always Better premiered at 54 Below in September 2014.
