Untitled Theater Company #61 is set to present the world premiere of an authorized stage adaptation of Ursula K. Le Guin’s sci-fi novel The Lathe of Heaven, June 6-30 at the 3LD Art and Technology Center. The new play is adapted and directed by Edward Einhorn, with music by Henry Akona.

The Lathe of Heaven intersperses verses from the Tao Te Ching as operatic art songs and examines the human need for certainty and understanding in contrast with Taoist ideas of uncertainty and unknowing.

The cast will feature Robert Honeywell (George Orr), Caroline Saaman (Heather Le Lache), John Gallop (the singer), and Eric Oleson (the neurologist).
