2018 Emmy winner Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie) will star in the New Group's upcoming world-premiere production of Clueless, the Musical, written by Amy Heckerling and directed by Kristin Hanggi.

Cameron will take on the leading role of Cher, alongside Ephie Aardema (Tai), Lori Alan (Miss Geist, Ms. Stoeger), Sara Andreas (Heather), Gilbert L. Bailey II (Murray), Will Connolly (Travis), Tiffany Engen (Swing), Katie Goffman (Swing), Danielle Marie Gonzalez (Lucy), Tessa Grady (Amber), Talya Groves (Ensemble), Chris Hoch (Mel, Mr. Hall, DMV Instructor), L'ogan J'ones (Max), Jeff Kuhr (Swing), Darius Jordan Lee (Sean), Justin Mortelliti (Christian), Brett Thiele (Ensemble), Dave Thomas Brown (Josh), and Zurin Villanueva (Dionne).

With a book by Heckerling, who created the beloved film, Clueless is a modern spin on Jane Austen's Emma, and will feature a score that "reimagines 90s hits into ingenious parodies and yearning monologues for her lovesick characters." Joining Hanggi on the creative team are Kelly Devine (choreography), Beowulf Boritt (scenic design), Amy Clark (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), Gareth Owen (sound design), Darrel Maloney (projection design), Ethan Popp (musical supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations), and Matthew Smedal (musical direction).

Performances begin November 20 at the Pershing Square Signature Center's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, with opening night scheduled for December 11. Performances will continue through January 12.
