Olivier Award winner Douglas Hodge (La Cage aux Folles) is currently in previews for the world premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the West End’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane. The musical is an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s original novel (following Matilda‘s record-breaking West End success) and features a book by David Greig with a score by Tony Award winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (NBC’s Smash, Hairspray).

Here’s a first look at Hodge after his transformation into the iconic candy man, Willy Wonka, complete with top hat and pencil handlebar mustache.
