Dominic Scaglione Jr. and Joseph Leo Bwarie to Replace John Lloyd Young in Jersey Boys

Scaglione and Bwarie will take over as The Four Seasons leading man Frankie Valli at the end of the month.

Tony Award winner John Lloyd Young, Broadway’s original Frankie Valli in the smash-hit jukebox musical Jersey Boys, will play his last performance with the production July 28. Stepping into his large shoes will be two former members of the production’s various touring companies, Dominic Scaglione Jr. and Joseph Leo Bwarie. A veteran of the Broadway company, Scaglione previously played the role in both the Chicago and Las Vegas productions while Bwarie, who will be making his Broadway debut, led the first national touring production. The two will assume the leading role on Tuesday, July 30.

The current Broadway company also features Matt Bogart (Nick Massi), Drew Gehling (Bob Gaudio) and Andy Karl (Tommy DeVito) with Peter Gregus and Mark Lotito, and Miles Aubrey, Erik Bates, Candi Boyd, Jared Bradshaw, Ken Dow, Russell Fischer, Renée Marino, Rashad Naylor, Katie O’Toole, Joe Payne, Jessica Rush, Nathan Scherich, Sara Schmidt, and Taylor Sternberg.

Jersey Boys features a Tony Award-nominated book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and direction by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff.
