Divine Stage Works is set to present PlaYces II, a local collaboration consisting of three play readings set in some of Jamaica Plain’s most inspiring spaces, now in its second year. The series will run September 7-November 16.
Kicking off the series will be Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler (September 7 and 8 at the Taylor House B&B), in which everyone around Hedda gets pulled into her wicked web of manipulation. Next, Washington Irving’s classic ghost story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (October 26 and 27 The Loring-Greenough House), will be presented just in time for Halloween.
Yasmina Reza’s Art (November 15 and 16 at UFORGE Gallery), a play about three long-time friends whose relationships are tested as they struggle with their differing opinions, will complete the season.
All readings include a complimentary reception.
