Debbie Kurup and Sarah Lark will star in a revival of Robert Longden and Hereward Kaye’s musical version of Herman Meville’s Moby Dick, to run April 27 – May 28 at the Landor Theatre. Andrew Wright will directed and choreograph the production.
The show, a mix of camp, music hall-style double entendres, imagines that the students and faculty of an all-girls school work to save the institution from bankruptcy by performing the classic novel in the school’s swimming pool. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
Kurup starred in I Love You Because at the Landor and was more recently the understudy for Patina Miller in the West End production of Sister Act. Lark, a finalist on BBC!’s reality show I’d Do Anything, understudied the role of Nancy in Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
