Dear Evan Hansen Reunion! Laura Dreyfuss to Join Ben Platt in Ryan Murphy TV Series

Recently departed Dear Evan Hansen leading lady Laura Dreyfuss will reunite with her former leading man Ben Platt in the new Netflix series The Politician, according to published reports.

The hourlong series is created by Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, and Ryan Murphy. Platt will play a wealthy Santa Barbara resident with political aspirations. Dreyfuss also starred on Murphy, Falchik, and Brennan's Fox series Glee.

Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, and Rahne Jones have also signed on to star, with Barbra Streisand and Gwyneth Paltrow in talks to make special appearances.
