Davis Gaines and Faith Prince will lead a cast of 25 in two semi-staged concert performances of the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler musical Sweeney Todd, to be presented by The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and Mad Cow Theatre at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, March 6 and 7 at 8 pm.
Gaines, who will play Sweeney Todd, has appeared on Broadway in the title role in The Phantom of the Opera and Camelot. Prince, who will portray Mrs. Lovett, won a Tony Award for Guys and Dolls, and received additional Tony nominations for A Catered Affair, Bells Are Ringing, and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway.
