The Aurora Theatre Company in Berkeley has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will begin with Alice Childress’ investigation of racism in the early 1960s, Trouble in Mind (August 20 – September 26), directed by Robin Stanton and featuring Margo Hall. Late in 2010, the theater will also present David Cale’s solo show about a man with literary aspirations, Palomino (October 29 – December 5).
In the new year, Aurora Theatre Company will give Allison Moore’s Collapse (January 28 – March 6) its world premiere. Jessica Heidt will direct this comedy about a woman who tries to hold on to the façade of a perfect family life, while struggling with a very different reality. The theater’s season will be rounded out with Tom Ross’ production of Tennessee Williams’ The Eccentricities of a Nightingale (April 1 – May 8) and David Farr and Gishi Örn Gardarsson’s adaptation of Kafka’s Metamorphosis (June 10 – July 17), directed by Mark Jackson.
