The off-Broadway production of Heathers: The Musical at New World Stages will welcome Dave Thomas Brown and Kristolyn Lloyd to the company in the roles of JD and Heather Duke, respectively. They take over the roles on June 9 from Ryan McCartan and Alice Lee, who depart the show on June 6 and 8. Dan Domenech will play the role of JD on June 7 and 8.

Brown recently played Melchior in the Cygnet Theater production of Spring Awakening in San Diego. Lloyd originated the role of Heather Duke in the Los Angeles production of Heathers: The Musical at the Hudson Theater.

Inspired by the cult-classic film of the same title, Heathers also stars Barrett Wilbert Weed as Veronica, with Jessica Keenan Wynn and Elle McLemore as the Heathers. Katie Ladner takes on the role of Martha, with Jon Eidson as Ram, Evan Todd as Kurt, Anthony Crivello as Ram's Dad/Big Bud Dean, Dan Cooney as Kurt's Dad/Veronica's Dad/Principal, and Michelle Duffy as Ms. Fleming/Veronica's Mom. Completing the company are Dan Domenech, Cait Fairbanks, Rachel Flynn, Molly Hager, Charissa Hogeland, AJ Meijer, and Dustin Sullivan.

Directed by Andy Fickman, the production features a book and score by Tony nominee Laurence O'Keefe and Emmy winner Kevin Murphy.
