Participating artists for the 2009 Intenational Music Festival at Caramoor in Katonah, New York, to run June 27-August 2, have been announced.
Darius de Haas, Julia Murney, and the Orchestra of St Luke’s under the direction of Michael Barrett will perform in Pops, Patriots & Fireworks, to take place at the Venetian Theater at 8pm on Saturday, July 4. The program will feature music by Alan Menken, John Philip Sousa, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, and other composers, and will be followed by a fireworks display.
Other performers include opera star Susan Grahm (June 27 and July 10), Bela Fleck (July 3), the Pacifica Quartet with Jeremy Denk (July 5), Alisa Weilerstein (July 11), Paquito D’Rivera (July 19), Vladimir Felstman (July 26), Dianne Reeves (August 1), and Cyrus Chestnut (August 2).
