Danny Burstein, Jessica Hecht, and Jeremy Shamos to Star in Broadway Revival of Awake and Sing!

Danny Burstein, Jessica Hecht, and Jeremy Shamos will star in a new Broadway revival of Awake and Sing! by Clifford Odets.

Presented by Manhattan Theatre Club at the Friedman Theatre, the drama will begin performances in December 2026, with an opening night scheduled for January 2027. Brian and Dayna Lee and Nicole Kramer and Stephanie Kramer produce the work alongside MTC.

Directed by Tyne Rafaeli, Awake and Sing! stars Hecht as Bessie Berger, Shamos as Myron Berger, and Burstein as Uncle Morty. Full casting will be announced at a later date.

Awake and Sing! explores the hopes and dreams of three generations of a lower-middle-class Jewish family all living in the same Bronx tenement during the Depression.
