Dame Diana Rigg to Depart Broadway's My Fair Lady in September

Dame Diana Rigg will depart the Broadway production of My Fair Lady on September 9, Lincoln Center Theater has confirmed. The replacement for Rigg, who received a Tony nomination for her performance as Mrs. Higgins, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Directed by Bartlett Sher, the Broadway production also stars 2018 Tony nominees Lauren Ambrose (Eliza Doolittle), Harry Hadden-Paton (Henry Higgins), and Norbert Leo Butz (Alfred P. Doolittle). Allan Corduner plays Colonel Pickering, Jordan Donica plays Freddy Eynsford-Hill, and Linda Mugleston plays Mrs. Pearce. Kerstin Anderson plays Eliza Doolittle during Sunday matinees.

Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's play and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture Pygmalion, My Fair Lady, with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, premiered on Broadway on March 15, 1956. The new revival features choreography by Christopher Gattelli, with sets by Michael Yeargan, lighting by Donald Holder, sound by Marc Salzberg, and Tony-winning costume design by Catherine Zuber.
