Walnut Street Theatre will open its 207th season with the the Cole Porter classic High Society. Directed by Frank Anzalone, with choreography by Mary Jane Houdina, the production is set to begin previews on September 8 before a September 16 opening. The show will run through October 25 on the Walnut’s Mainstage.
Megan Nicole Arnoldy will lead the party as the bride-to-be Tracy Lord, alongside Paul Schaefer as Dexter Haven, Jon Reinhold as George Kittredge, Dan Schiff as Uncle Willie, Ben Dibble as Mike Connor, Jenny Lee Stern as Liz Imbrie, Grace Gonglewski as Margaret Lord, Dan Olmstead as Seth Lord, and Cambria Klein and Alexis Gwynn as Dinah. The ensemble is made up of Robert Abdoo, Laura Giknis, Billy D. Hart, Jesse Jones, Michael Philip O’Brien, Jenny Piersol, Kerri Rose, and Adrienne Wells.
The creative team includes Douglass G. Lutz (musical and vocal director), Robert Andrew Kovach (scenic design), Paul Black (lighting design), Mary Folino (costume design), and Will Pickens (sound design).
