Cleveland Play House Completes 2018-19 Seasons With World Premiere

The season will also include Lynn Nottage’s ”Sweat”, Karen Zacarías’s ”Native Gardens”, and more.

Cleveland Play House will present the world-premiere comedy Tiny Houses (March 23, 2019-April 14, 2019) as part of its lineup for the 2018-2019 Season. Written by emerging playwright Chelsea Marcantel, the production will be a coproduction with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. CPH artistic director Laura Kepley will direct.

The season will also feature the US national tour of London's long-running The Woman in Black (September 15-October 7), a mystery thriller based on the novel by Susan Hill, and Lynn Nottage's 2017 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Sweat (October 13-November 4). Beginning the new year will be An Iliad (January 12, 2019-February 10, 2019), followed by Ken Ludwig's new comedy Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood (February 2-24, 2019). After Tiny Houses, Cleveland Play House will end its season with Karen Zacarías's Native Gardens (April 27, 2019-May 19, 2019).

In addition to the six-play Subscriber Series, CPH will also present A Christmas Story (November 23- December 23) by Philip Grecian, and Sarah DeLappe's The Wolves (May 2019), which will be featured in the 2019 New Ground Theatre Festival.
