The 2015 spring gala for theater venue P.S. 122 will honor actor and dancer Claire Danes – whose history of performing at P.S. 122 includes her 1985 performance debut at the age of six. The April 20 Gala, which will take place at Capitale, will be hosted by Broadway star Alan Cumming (Cabaret). The event also celebrates P.S. 122's anticipated return to its newly renovated East Village building, the organization's home for over thirty years.

Cumming is co-chair of P.S. 122's Give Performance Space capital campaign, along with Stella Schnabel, and P.S. 122's Board Vice President Charles Kerr. In addition to Claire Danes' performance debut, P.S. 122 presented her critically acclaimed dance pieces in 2005 and 2007.

The gala event will begin at 7pm with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction. Dinner, performances, presentations and a live auction conducted by powerhouse auctioneer Ck Swett will follow. An after-party, with DJ and additional performances, will close out the evening.

Dinner and dessert will be designed by chef and author Gabrielle Hamilton of Prune. Honoree awards are provided by Swarovski. Performances by special guest artists, award presenters, and a highlight of auction offerings will be announced at a later date.
