Seth Rudetsky's Concert for America: Stand Up, Sing Out played UCLA's Royce Hall on Wednesday, May 24. Performers included Rachel Bloom, Laura Bell Bundy, Wayne Brady, Kate Flannery, Barret Foa, Jane Lynch, Alec Mapa, Chita Rivera, Ben Vereen, Marissa Jaret Winokour, and more.
A combination of songs, comedy, and commentary, Concert for America is created and hosted by Rudetsky and James Wesley, who also organized the Broadway for Orlando / What the World Needs Now Is Love recording. The monthly series debuted at Town Hall, which serves as its New York home. The show will move to San Francisco's Curran Theatre for a performance on June 24.
Proceeds from Concert for America benefit five national organizations working to protect civil and human rights: the Sierra Club Foundation, Southern Poverty Law Center, National Immigration Law Center, NAACP, and National Coalition
Against Domestic Violence.
