Chicago, now playing at the Ambassador Theatre, will becoming the 4th longest-running Broadway show following the matinee performance on Saturday, August 27.
The production opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on November 14, 1996. It subsequently transferred to Broadway’s Shubert Theatre on February 11, 1997 and the production began performances at the Amabassador on January 29, 2003.
The company currently stars Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Nikka Graff Lanzarone as Velma Kelly, Christopher Sieber as Billy Flynn, Chris Sullivan as Amos Hart ,and Carol Woods as Matron “Mama” Morton.
Chicago has been directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).
