Catherine Reid Named Winner of the TMU Best Blogger Award

Northwestern University freshman and TMU blogger Catherine Reid has won the TMU Best Blogger Award, which comes with a $250 cash prize. The award is given to the student contributor who generates the most readership to their blog posts during the semester.

Reid is a self-proclaimed theater nerd and is obsessed with all things Broadway. At Northwestern, she is a reporter for Northwestern News Network and plans to pursue a major in journalism and a minor in theater.

“Writing for TMU helped me to stay connected with my theatrical roots and reminded me of the passion I have for theater, as I pursued journalism this year. I am excited and honored to accept this award,” said Catherine.

The award’s second and third prize winners are Northwestern University sophomore Darcy Rose Coussens, who wins a $150 prize, and Carnegie Mellon University second year Emily Anne Gibson, who will receive a $75 prize.
