Casting and creative team information is set for Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train, playing the Raven Theatre, October 7-December 6, with an opening October 12. Michael Menendian directs.
This urban drama centers on Angel Cruz, a young Latino man in jail for shooting a religious cult leader who ends up in prison with a born-again serial killer. The cast features Esteban Andres Cruz as Angel, JoAnn Montemurro as Mary Jane Hanrahan, Bradford Stevens as Lucius Jenkins, as well as Greg Caldwell and Warren Levon as Guards.
On the creative team, Leif Olson provides the original score and co-designs the sets with Menendian. Montemurro designs the costumes, Christine Ferriter designs the lights, and Katherine M. Chavez provides sound design.
