Cast and creative team information has been set for the American premiere of Willy Russell’s most recent revision of Educating Rita, August 20-September 21, at The Colony Theatre. Cameron Watson will direct the piece, which will include original music by John Swihart.
Educating Rita is a comedy that explores what it really means to be educated, when a disillusioned, alcoholic teacher and a passionate, street-wise student cross paths.
The cast will star Bjørn Johnson as Frank and Rebecca Mozo as Rita. The creative team will include Terri A. Lewis (costumes), Cricket S. Myers & Rebecca Kessin (sound), Victoria Profitt (sets), and Jared A. Sayeg (lighting).
