Lyric Stage has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie, adapted and directed by Scott Edmiston. The show will run April 6-May 6.
In Anna Christie, after a 20-year separation, a coal barge captain is reunited with the daughter he unknowingly abandoned to a life of hardship. When Anna falls in love with a shipwrecked sailor, her father and her suitor come to recognize their own culpability in her plight, and all three struggle in their own way for salvation.
The cast will feature Nancy E. Carroll, Johnny Lee Davenport, Lindsey McWhorter, James R. Milord, and Dan Whelton.
The production will include scenic design by Janie E. Howland, costume design by Charles Schoonmaker, lighting design by Karen Perlow, sound design by Dewey Dellay, and fight choreography by Jesse Hinson.
