Canal Park Playhouse Announces November Programming

| New York City |

October 3, 2011

Canal Park Playhouse has announced its initial programming for its inaugural season. The venue is housed in a landmark building at 508 Canal Street in Tribeca.

Among events scheduled for the space is Joe Roland’s On the Line (October 27 – November 19), which looks at three friends who take on their union and the factory they work for.

The Playhouse will also produce two weekend matinee offerings: Perfect Catch: A Throwmantic Comedy (November 5 – 27), which, performed by Michael Karas and Jen Slaw, combines circus, dance, text, and juggling to tell the tale of two romantically sparring co-workers; and The Little Rascals (November 5 – 24), which brings three classic black and white short films that featured a cast of children to the stage.

In addition, the Playhouse will offer its first Book Launch! event on November 14, which will feature performers offering readings from Douglas Light’s Girls in Trouble and music by Jimmie James and his band.
