
American Idol star Adam Lambert will perform at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, on April 17. The singer is also nominated this year for a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist for his album, That’s Entertainment.
As previously announced, Wilson Cruz and Candis Cayne will host the event, which will honor actress and producer Drew Barrymore with the Vanguard Award, and comedian Wanda Sykes with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.
Guests and presenters scheduled to attend also include cast members from Glee, Tom Ford, Eric Dane, Jason Lewis, Sofia Vergara, Chaz Bono, Benjamin Bratt, RuPaul, Bryan Batt, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Elizabeth Keener, Clementine Ford, and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, with more names to be announced.
The GLAAD Media Awards are designed to “elevate and promote fair, accurate and inclusive stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues, people and allies that have increased awareness, understanding and respect for the lives of LGBT people.”
