Pi Day is just two days away, and Broadway's Waitress is preparing to spread the celebration to all of its festive customers. Patrons who purchase tickets to Waitress at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on March 14, will get a free pie jar with their purchase. Tickets can be for the performance that day or future performances, and the offer can be redeemed 10am-1pm (while supplies last).

Audience members attending the Waitress matinee on Pi Day will also have a chance to win a prize when they purchase pie jars in the theater. Ten lucky customers at the March 14 matinee will find a note hidden under the lid of their pie jar. Winners will be able to redeem their prize at the theater’s merchandise booth.

Now in its second year on Broadway, Waitress features songs by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus. Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture, the story follows Jenna, an expert pie maker in a small town, who dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's new doctor may offer her a chance at a new life, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes to happiness. But Jenna must find the courage and strength within herself to rebuild her life.

Bareilles concluded her run as Jenna on March 11, with Katharine McPhee set to lead the production beginning April 10.
