Broadway Veterans and Orange Is the New Black Star Set for Born for Broadway Concert

The fifth annual event will benefit spinal cord injury research.

Born for Broadway, a nonprofit dedicated to funding spinal cord injury research and supporting individuals living with paralysis, has announced casting for its fifth annual celebrity cabaret, to be held at the Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center on Monday, October 13.

The initial list of participants includes Adrian Bailey (Jelly’s Last Jam), Ashley Blanchet (Beautiful — The Carole King Musical), Danielle Brooks (Orange Is the New Black), Khaya Cohen (The X-Factor), E. Clayton Cornelious (Beautiful — The Carole King Musical), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music), pianist Carole Lasser, Tony winner Adriane Lenox (After Midnight), Lesli Margherita (Matilda The Musical), Zane Mark (Motown The Musical), Timothy McDevitt (Guys & Dolls), Kathleen Monteleone (Hands on a Hardbody), Robert Petkoff (All the Way), Steve Rosen (The Other Josh Cohen), singer/songwriter Jesse Ruben, Peter Scolari (Girls), Ryan Silverman (Side Show), Ali Stroker (The Glee Project), John Tartaglia (Avenue Q), Wesley Taylor (It Could Be Worse), and Rema Webb (Violet).

Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) will direct the concert, with Lawrence Yurman serving as musical director.
