Broadway veteran James Stovall died on September 26 in New York City, according to published reports.
Stovall most recently appeared on Broadway in Finian’s Rainbow. His numerous stage credits include Big Deal, Sweet Charity, Once on This Island, The Life, Ragtime, The Rocky Horror Show, Romance in Hard Times, Dessa Rose, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Dreamgirls.
He also served as executive director of Ministry of the Arts & Culture at the United Palace Theatre in Harlem.
