The Broadway League has reached a new agreement with IATSE, the international labor union which represents stagehands and other backstage workers.

The three-year deal affects IATSE members who go on the road with live attractions, and includes higher wages, an increase in employer contributions to worker health plans, compensation for use of a live performance in other media (such as television), and grievance and arbitration provisions.

The deal has been unanimously ratified by the IATSE general executive board, and will be in effect through December 31, 2012.
