Broadway "It" Couple Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka to Join the Cast of American Horror Story

Newlywed Broadway veterans Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka have each been cast in upcoming episodes of FX's American Horror Story, according to published reports.

American Horror Story: Freak Show, the fourth season of Ryan Murphy's anthology series, is set in in Jupiter, Florida in 1952 and follows the struggles of a freak show led by Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange). Harris will appear in the season's final two episodes as a "chameleon salesman." Burtka will appear opposite Jessica Lange in the season's finale.

A Tony Award winner, Neil Patrick Harris was most recently seen on Broadway as the title character in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Burtka, who is also a Broadway veteran, is scheduled to return to the Great White Way this season in the new musical It Shoulda Been You.
