
Broadway in Chicago has announced the productions set for its 2012 season.
American Idiot, the Broadway musical based on Green Day’s Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album, will come to Oriental Theatre, February 7-19. From February 14-26, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s musical South Pacific will be presented at Cadillac Palace Theatre.
The new musical comedy that raises the stakes on over-the-top high school rivalries Bring it On: The Musical will be at the Cadillac Palace Theatre from March 6-25. FELA!, the Tony Award-winning dance, theater, and music spectacle, will come to Oriental Theatre, March 27-April 8. The Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award-winning musical Jersey Boys is to be presented from April 5-June 2 at the Bank of America Theatre.
In addition, the previously reported Tony Award-winning hit Book of Mormon will play December 11, 2012-March 3, 2013 at the Bank of America Theater.
Broadway in Chicago has also announced its off-season specials, which will include In the Heights, January 10-15; Mamma Mia!, January 24-29; Riverdance, March 13-18; and Cats, May 1-6.
