Brian Dykstra’s comic piece The Jesus Factor will begin an open-ended run at the Barrow Street Theater, February 2, with an official opening on February 7. The show is directed by Dykstra’s long-time collaborator, Margarett Perry.
The show, which played at Barrow Street earlier this month, is about religious hypocrisy and power. Dykstra is best known for his appearances on Comedy Central’s Chapelle Show and HBO’s Def Poetry Jam. His previous stage works include Cornered & Alone, Clean Alternatives, Hiding Behind Comets and Strangerhorse. He was also a writer on the ESPN-TV show The Life.
