The ”Downton Abbey” star performs the solo show through January 27 at the Goodman Theatre.
Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey) stars in the Goodman Theatre's production of Conor McPherson's St. Nicholas under the direction of Simon Evans. The production, playing through January 27, comes to the Goodman following an acclaimed run at London's Donmar Warehouse.
The production is described as follows: "When a jaded Dublin theater critic (Coyle) abandons his ordinary life in pursuit of a beautiful young actress, his desires lead him to strike an irreversible bargain with a band of modern-day vampires."
St. Nicholas features scenic design by Peter McKintosh, lighting design by Matt Daw, and sound design by Christopher Shutt.
