Ogunquit Playhouse has announced casting for its upcoming production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific, running June 20-July 15. Shaun Kerrison will direct.
Based on the 2008 Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center Theatre production, South Pacific is set on a tropical island during World War II and tells the story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war.
The cast will be led by Branch Fields (Emile deBecque), Jennie Sophia (Nellie Forbush) and Christopher Johnstone (Lieutenant Joseph Cable).
Musical Direction will be by Ken Clifton, with choreography by Victor Wisehart.
