Yang will don the bratty curls starting September 15.

Actor and comedian Bowen Yang will make his Broadway debut in Cole Escola’s Oh, Mary! beginning Tuesday, September 15, for a limited engagement through December 6.
Yang will play the title role of Mary, currently portrayed by Meg Stalter through September 12.
The Las Culturistas podcast host is not the first SNL alum to take on the role, which was played by Maya Rudolph earlier this year.
Yang will be joined by onstage at the Lyceum Theatre by Phillip James Brannon (“Mary’s Husband”), Barrett Foa (“Mary’s Teacher”), Bianca Leigh (“Mary’s Chaperone”), and returning original cast member Tony Macht (“Mary’s Husband’s Assistant”).
The historically dubious story of Mary Todd Lincoln and her quest to return to the stage in the waning days of the American Civil War, Oh, Mary! has been called by TheaterMania, “without a doubt, the funniest comedy on Broadway right now.” Sam Pinkleton is the director.
Tickets to Oh, Mary! are currently on sale through July 10, 2027.
