Bono and The Edge, David Bryan, Jennifer Hudson Among 2012 Billboard Music Award Finalists

The finalists for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards have been announced. The prizes will be presented in a ceremony to be held at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand on Sunday, May 20 and broadcast live on ABC (8pm ET).

Among the nominees are the groups Bon Jovi, with David Bryan, Tony Award winner for Memphis, and U2, featuring Bono and The Edge who have written the score for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, both of which have been nominated in the Top Touring Artist category. In addition, Broadway veteran Jennifer Hudson has been nominated in the Top R&B Album category for I Remember Me.

Among the other nominees are Adele, who has received a total of 18 nominations, along with Rihanna, LMFAO, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, and Black Eyed Peas.
