Block, Halston, Lavin, Mason, Mayes, Minnelli, et al. to Salute Jim Caruso

Stephanie J. Block, Amanda Green, Julie Halston, Hilary Kole, Linda Lavin, Todd Londagin, Karen Mason, Sally Mayes, Liza Minnelli, Johnny Rodgers, and Billy Stritch will participate in a Roasts, Toasts, and Tributes show honoring TheaterMania contributor Jim Caruso at 9pm on Sunday, June 25 at the Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street).
The event will be hosted by Carolyn Montgomery, Jay Rogers, and Julie Reyburn, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Caruso will also receive the Sidney Myer Award for excellence in cabaret that evening.
Caruso has been a long-time contributor to TheaterMania, most recently with his new series of video features, “Jim Caruso is….Prying.” He is the host of a popular Monday night cabaret series and Cast Party, both of which take place at Birdland. A multi-award-winning entertainer, Caruso has appeared at Carnegie Hall, The Town Hall, the Colony in Palm Beach, and the Russian Tea Room, and hosted such events as the annual Broadway on Broadway concert and the MAC Awards.
