Studio Theatre's production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Between Riverside and Crazy starts this evening.

Ex-cop Walter Washington’s world is crumbling around him. After the recent death of his wife, he is facing eviction from his ample rent-controlled apartment. Surrounded by his ragtag surrogate family and living with his ex-con son, it is time for Walter to step away from the past and into the future. But, whether in spite of or due to everything, Walter isn’t ready to move on.

Written by Stephen Adly Guirgis, the play is directed by Brian Macdevitt. The cast features Frankie R. Faison as Walter "Pops" Washington, Jasmin Tavarez as Lulu, Sean Carvajal as Oswaldo, David Bishins as Lieutenant Caro, Emily Townley as Detective O’Connor, Cristina Frias as Church Lady, and Bryant Bentley as Junior.

The creative team includes Lee Savage (set design), Jen Schriever (lighting design), Dede Ayite (costume design), and Eric Shimelonis (sound design).

Performances will run through February 28.
