Barrow Group Announces Complete Casting for Enemy of the People

Henrik Ibsen’s classic play gets newly adapted for the stage.

The Barrow Group has announced complete casting for Seth Barrish and K. Lorrel Manning'a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's Enemy of the People. Directed by Manning, the production begins performances March 11 at the TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group in advance of a March 14 opening. The limited run will extend through April 1.

Enemy of the People is a world-premiere adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s classic about a scientist who takes on his hometown after discovering an environmental catastrophe. Utilizing story theater elements and a revised structure, this adaptation centers on a fundamental question that’s as resonant now as ever: Does democracy work?

The cast will feature Jeremy Folmer (The Unrepeatable Moment), Eliza Foss (Indignation), Mike Giese (A Low Lying Fog), Reade Kelly (God’s Country), Larry Mitchell (ReEntry), Katherine Neuman (Dream of a Blacklisted Actor), Martin Van Treuren (Uncle Vanya), Spiff Wiegand (War Horse), and Roxanne Wells.

The creative team includes set design by Edward T. Morris, lighting design by Solomon Weisbard, and sound design by Matt Otto.
