Baize Buzan, Emjoy Gavino, Mildred Marie Langford Play Ill-Fated Sisters in Failure: A Love Story

Failure: A Love Story, Philip Dawkins’ new musical play, will be seen at Chicago’s Victory Gardens, November 16 to December 30. Seth Bockley directs the work.

The play concerns the Fail sisters, all of whom died, by blunt object, disappearance, and consumption, in 1928. The production will feature popular songs and original compositions by Dawkins, played by the cast members who will accompany themselves on a variety of instruments.

The company will feature Baize Buzan, Emjoy Gavino, Mildred Marie Langford, Michael Salinas, Matt Fletcher, Guy Massey, and Janet Ulrich Brooks.

The design team includes Scott Davis (sets), Mac Vaughey (lighting), Emily Tarleton (costumes), and Charles Kim (sound).
