Masterworks Broadway celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Avenue Q, with the release of the Grammy-nominated original Broadway cast recording on vinyl. Available exclusively through Books a Million, the deluxe release features a 2-LP gatefold set with translucent orange vinyl and lyric insert.

Winner of four Tony awards, including Best Original Score for Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, the original Broadway cast included Tony nominees John Tartaglia and Stephanie D'Abruzzo as well as Rick Lyon, Natalie Venetia Belton, Ann Harada, Jordan Gelber, and Jennifer Barnhart. This one-time pressing of 2,500 albums is only available at Books a Million stores and online at booksamillion.com.

Avenue Q is a "musical about a group of 20-somethings — people and puppets alike — who move to New York with big dreams and tiny bank accounts. Together they live as neighbors on a rundown block in NYC as they try to discover their purpose in life."

The show opened July 31, 2003, at Broadway's John Golden Theatre where it ran through September 13, 2009, and transferred off-Broadway to New World Stages the following month where it's been running ever since.

Directed by Jason Moore, Avenue Q is based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, with puppets conceived and designed by Rick Lyon.
