Arin Arbus directs a new Broadway revival of Terrence McNally’s play.
Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon are currently in rehearsals for the new Broadway revival of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.
Directed by Arin Arbus, the production will play the Broadhurst Theatre. Performances begin on May 4, with an official opening set for May 30. The strictly limited 16-week engagement will conclude on August 25.
The two-character play offers a "portrait of a lonely waitress and a short order cook whose first date turns into a one-night stand — and maybe more."
The production's creative team includes Riccardo Hernandez (sets), Emily Rebholz (costumes), Natasha Katz (lighting), Nevin Steinberg (sound), and J. Jared Janas (hair, wig, and makeup).
