Broadway’s biggest stars joined hosts Bernadette Peters and Harvey Fierstein to present puppies at the 15th annual Broadway Barks adopt-a-thon. Sponsored by the ASPCA and produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the event helps hundreds of New York City’s shelter animals find permanent homes in the metropolitan area. The organization was co-founded by Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, who could not take part in this year’s event due to illness.
