Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose and television star Hill Harper will co-host the 41st annual NAACP Image Awards ceremony to be held at the Shrine Auditorium on February 26 and broadcast on FOX.
Rose, who won a Tony Award for her performance in Caroline or Change, is also a double NAACP Image Award nominee this year, for her work in The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency and for The Princess and the Frog.
Harper is perhaps best known for playing Dr. Sheldon Hawkes on CBS’s CSI: NY. Among his other credits are Ruben Santiago-Hudson’s Lackawanna Blues on Showtime and such movies as Skulls, In Too Deep, Beloved, He Got Game, and Get on the Bus. His Off-Broadway credits include Dogeaters and Blue.
As previously reported, Tyler Perry will be presented with the NAACP Chairman’s Award at the ceremony. Among the previously reported nominees are Morgan Freeman, Danny Glover, Anthony Mackie, Audra McDonald, Denzel Washington, and Vanessa Williams.
