Broadway Records will release the original cast recording of Broadway's Anastasia on vinyl on December 14. The special edition will retail exclusively at Barnes & Noble, with availability on the Broadway Records website and at the show's merchandise stand at the Broadhurst Theatre.

The double-disc vinyl set includes new cover artwork and a bonus-track duet of Liz Callaway (the singing voice of Anastasia in the Oscar-nominated 1997 film) and Christy Altomare (the star of the Broadway production) singing "Journey to the Past" with composer Stephen Flaherty on piano.

Anastasia features a book by Terrence McNally and an original score by Tony Award winners Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics). Tony winner Darko Tresnjak directs. Ahrens and Flaherty penned the tunes for the animated film on which the stage musical is based. They have expanded their score, which contains the songs "Once Upon a December" and "Journey to the Past," for the theatrical production.

The original Broadway cast recording features the vocals of Altomare, Derek Klena, John Bolton, Ramin Karimloo, Caroline O'Connor, and Mary Beth Peil. The recording company also includes Zach Adkins, Sissy Bell, Lauren Blackman, Kathryn Boswell, Kyle Brown, Kristen Smith Davis, Janet Dickinson, Constantine Germanacos, Wes Hart, Ian Knauer, Ken Krugman, Dustin Layton, Shina Ann Morris, James A. Pierce III, Molly Rushing, Nicole Scimeca, Jennifer Smith, Johnny Stellard, McKayla Twiggs, and Allison Walsh.
