Alfie Boe: Live From the Royal Festival Hall, London to Premiere on PBS June 2

The concert film Alfie Boe: Live From the Royal Festival Hall, London will premiere on PBS beginning June 2. As previously reported, the special will be released on DVD on June 5.

Boe won a Tony Award for his work in Baz Luhrmann’s La Boheme. His other stage credits include Les Miserables in both the West End and in the 25th anniversary concert at The O2. His first solo CD, Bring Him Home, was released in 2011.

The concert features selections from the musicals Blood Brothers, Company, Les Misérables, Ragtime, South Pacific, Sunset Boulevard, and West Side Story, as well as a selection from Moulin Rouge, songs by Ewan MacColl and Martina McBride, and a medley of James Bond theme songs.

Boe is joined by special guests Claude-Michel Schönberg, one of the writers of Les Miserables, and Melanie C.
