Alan Cumming, Alice Ripley, and Rachel Dratch to Perform the Songs of Lance Horne

Horne’s Birdland debut will include a preview of ”The Night Before My Wedding”, a collaboration with Neil Gaiman.

Emmy Award-winning musician and producer Lance Horne will make his Birdland debut on March 31 with a concert featuring special guests Alan Cumming, Alice Ripley, and Rachel Dratch. The evening will feature performances of songs from Horne's CD First Things Last as well as a preview of The Night Before My Wedding, an upcoming collaboration with Neil Gaiman.

First Things Last bridges pop, rock, theater, and jazz music and features Alan Cumming, Amanda Palmer, Cheyenne Jackson, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Ricki Lake, Meow Meow, Lea DeLaria, Alexandra Silber Aneurin Barnard, Julie Atherton, Paul Spicer, Emma Williams, and Hannah Waddingham.

Horne coproduced Alan Cumming's debut album I Bought a Blue Car Today. He also appeared with Meow Meow at the Hippodrome in La Clique and at the keys at the Vaudeville for Notes Unleashed: The Music of Lance Horne. He has served as music director for Alan Cumming, Liza Minnelli, Meow Meow, Justin Vivian Bond, Amanda Palmer at Sydney Opera House, the NBC Orchestra and performances with Ben Folds, Sandra Bernhard, Jake Shears, Thomas Lauderdale (Pink Martini) and the Portland Symphony, and many others.

For American Repertory Theater in Boston, Horne was co-music director and coarranger for Steven Sater and Serj Tankian's Prometheus Bound, directed by Diana Paulus.
