Prior commitments for star Al Pacino have resulted in the delay of previews for the star-studded Broadway production of Glengarry Glen Ross, originally set to begin on October 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Performances will now start on Friday, October 19.
A statement concerning the postponement reads, “Al Pacino has commitments in Los Angeles and a publicity commitment for the preview of his upcoming film, Stand Up Guys, at the Chicago Film Festival this week.” Additional rehearsals were necessary to make up for lost time, resulting in the delay.
In addition to Pacino, who plays Shelley Levene, the cast also features Bobby Cannavale, David Harbour, John C. McGinley, Richard Schiff, Jeremy Shamos, and Murphy Guyer. Daniel Sullivan directs this revival of David Mamet‘s about a group of salesman involved in a high stakes contest.
